Our team are the heart & soul of everything we do – get to know more about our vets, nurses, pet coordinators, and everyone else who makes Nurture so unique.
Who or what is Nurture?
Nurture is an independent, first opinion Vet GP (general practice) with two locations, and an RCVS (Tier 3) Small Animal Hospital open 24/7, in Somerset.
Are we a new vet practice? The Nurture name may be new, but we have been providing caring & compassionate pet care in Wells and in Weston-super-Mare for over 50 years.

We’re excited to share our new vision for 2024 and beyond with you. Previously known as Westfield Vets in Wells and Summer Lane Vets in Weston-super-Mare, together we are now two practices with one vision, delivering exceptional pet & people care.
We’re the same team you know and trust and we’re proud to remain an independent practice; we’ve elevated our pet care offering and put the wellbeing of your pets at the core of everything we do.

We’re RCVS accredited practices
We’re proud to be RCVS Accredited practices. This means our practices in Wells and Weston-super-Mare undergo rigorous inspections to ensure your pet is getting the best care and attention they deserve. RCVS Accreditation is a voluntary quality assurance programme, so not all veterinary practices undergo such inspections to ensure their care is of the highest standards. We feel this is important to give our clients peace of mind, and ourselves a sense of achievement in the service we provide.
