Puppy School course at Nurture Vet Hospital
August 14, 2026
Give Your Puppy the Best Possible Start
Bringing home a new puppy is incredibly exciting, but those first few months are also one of the most important periods in their development. The experiences, training and social skills they learn now can help shape the happy, confident adult dog they become.
Our next six-week Puppy School course at Nurture Vet Hospital in Wells starts on Wednesday 26th August, with classes every Wednesday evening from 6.30pm–7.30pm.
Puppy School is run by Registered Veterinary Nurse Emma Maguire and Sophie, our training RVN, who will help you navigate those all-important early weeks with your new arrival.
The course is designed to be fun and informative for puppies and their owners. You’ll receive practical advice on training, settling your puppy into their new home and managing everyday activities, while your puppy has the opportunity to develop good social skills in a safe and relaxed environment.
There’s another important benefit too: Puppy School helps your puppy learn that coming to the vets can be a positive experience! Spending time exploring the practice, meeting our team and having fun without anything unpleasant happening can help build confidence and make future veterinary visits much less daunting.
The six-week course costs £90 and includes weekly handouts to help you continue your training at home, a goodie bag, and a certificate and rosette on completion. 🏅
Puppies should be between 12 and 20 weeks old and have received their first and second vaccinations.
Places are limited, so if you have a new puppy and would like to give them the best possible start, we’d love to welcome you both!
To book, ask our reception team or call Emma on 01749 673239.
